Boneca was not a deadly-serious band. It was basically a group of school friends, just lazying around and jamming our heads off. It was naturally formed (earliest) circa 2002, in our homes, in our own world of sing-along songs. As the vocalist, Nazila had brilliant vocal placement (still has), Shukor had been a soulful guitarist (always will) and I had a love for songwriting which they gladly embraced. Cela and Tunjukkan Aku were both written and composed by me, Apa Lagi was written and composed by Shukor, while Let Me was originally a poem by Haniza, which I got the green light to turn it into a song. We never had any gig or any CD; we simply enjoyed making music together. I am eternally grateful for the memories and opportunities this talented bunch granted me with, as I carefully bloomed from Boneca to Wani Ardy. Today Boneca is inactive, for its members have grown up into adults, all with bigger commitments, responsibilities and dreams. Yet I personally believe we will never stop making music deep in our hearts, in our very own way. :)
